They are yellow. And look waxy.
When you look at them whole they have five fins.
When you slice them they look like stars.
Rubbish to eat what ever the posh grocers say.
However boil up sugar and spices, (may be a bit of rum…) to a thick syrup, soaked and dried they make good fruits for cake.
Or slice and steep in water sugar and cinnamon, drain, cool and add ice, then they are a reasonable cold drink (and if you add the left over boiled syrup…)
