Experiment – lesson not really learned

I made rose water

I took the petals

And soaked in water

Checking every day

A hidden pot

In greenhouse corner

It was a stink I threw away

I dried the leaves

In airing cupboard

amongst the towels

And pot pourri

Could be recognised

And my mother let me try

So why did I

Short cut

Someone else

And say

Try in oil instead.

I found out at five

Experimenting

Perhaps I should

Have let the adult

Do the same.
